Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be a key part of our finance operations. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Posting and allocating client receipts daily

 

  • Managing the company’s credit control inbox

 

  • Sending copy invoices and statements to clients

 

  • Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy

 

  • Proactively chasing overdue debt

 

  • Maintaining accurate client account diaries and chasing records

 

  • Identifying bad debts and overpayments, escalating as needed

 

  • Liaising with the billings team to resolve invoice discrepancies

 

  • Credit checking and setting up new customer accounts

 

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and internal teams

 

  • Attending weekly debtors meetings to update on risks and aged debt items

 

  • Supporting the annual audit process with external auditors

Essential Qualifications/Experience

What we’re looking for

 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in credit control

 

  • Strong administration and organisational skills

 

  • Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel

 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

 

  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills

 

  • High attention to detail

 

  • Team player with a proactive approach

Desired Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience with Xero software (training provided if needed)
